JKSSB: Final Selection List Declared for Various Posts in Kashmir
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the final selection list for the posts of Social Worker/Medical Social Worker, Divisional Cadre, Kashmir, as advertised under Advertisement Notification No.02 of 2021 dated 26.03.2021.
According to Notification No. 12-Selection of 2024, dated February 2, 2024, the Health and Medical Education Department forwarded the requisition for making direct recruitment to 08 posts of Social Worker/Medical Social Worker under item No. 204.
The qualification prescribed for these posts includes Graduation with Sociology as one of the subjects or M.A. Sociology or Masters Degree in Social Work from any recognized University.
The selection process for these posts was based on a Written Examination conducted by the JKSSB. The Computer Based Test (CBT) was held in multiple sessions/slots from 17.08.2021 to 25.06.2021. Following the merit obtained by the candidates, Document Verification was conducted from 20.11.2021 to 04.12.2021.
The Selection Committee was constituted to prepare the final selection list for these posts. However, certain changes were made regarding the promotional quota for the posts.
The indenting department forwarded communications regarding the withdrawal of posts under promotional quota based on directions from the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Srinagar Bench.
In light of these developments, it was clarified that out of 14 sanctioned posts, 11 were to be filled through direct recruitment, constituting 75%, while 03 posts were to be filled through the promotional quota, constituting 25%, as per Government Order dated 19.01.2006.
This declaration marks a significant step in the recruitment process for these vital healthcare positions in Kashmir, ensuring qualified individuals are appointed to serve the community’s healthcare needs effectively.
