Assistant Professors in J&K Get New Postings: Download List
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Higher Education Department, Civil Secretariat, has recently issued Government Order No: 155-JK(HE) of 2024, dated March 6th, 2024, outlining transfers and postings of Assistant/Associate Professors within the department.
In a bid to enhance administrative efficiency, several Assistant/Associate Professors have been reassigned to different institutions across the region.
Notable among these changes are the reassignments of Mr./Ms. Vishal Sharma, Assistant Professor in Botany, and Sonika Khajuria, Assistant Professor in Chemistry, both stationed at GDC, Kathua. Sharma will now be stationed at GGM Science College, while Khajuria is slated for a move to GDC Bishnah.
Additionally, Naresh Sharma, Assistant Professor in English, previously stationed at GDC Dudu Basantgarh, is being relocated to MAM College. Similarly, Braj Dev Sehgal, Assistant Professor in Physics, currently serving at GDC Ramnagar, is reassigned to GDC.
The order also impacts Assistant Professors in Physics, Shahzada Parveen and Tariq Ahmad War. Parveen, stationed at GDC, Ganderbal, is set to join GCW, Zakura, while War’s position at GCW, Zakura, will be filled by Imran Hussain Shah, previously stationed at GDC, Marheen.
Furthermore, War is being assigned to SP College, Srinagar, while Shah is slated for MAM College.
These reshufflings, effective immediately, are aimed at optimizing the allocation of human resources within the Higher Education Department, ensuring that educators can contribute their expertise to various institutions across Jammu and Kashmir.
The reassignments also seek to facilitate the smooth functioning of academic activities in the region’s educational institutions.
