Government Directs Halt to Doctor’s Private Practice in J&K
Srinagar, March 23: The Government has issued a directive to put an end to the private practice of Dr. Ishtiyaq Abdullah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Government Medical College, Baramulla, throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
The decision comes in light of the findings by the State Anti Fraud Unit (SAFU) concerning violations of the Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) of the State Health Agency, J&K, along with other established instructions.
According to a copy of the order obtained by news agency, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary to the government, H&ME department, stated, “It is hereby ordered that Dr. Ishtiyaq Abdullah, Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopaedics, Government Medical College, Baramulla, shall, with immediate effect, cease to engage in any private practice across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.”
This action reflects the authorities’ determination to address any lapses or deviations from prescribed protocols promptly.
