Winter Vacation In Kashmir 2024 – Govt Issues Big Update

Srinagar, Nov 26: The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain Mir, announced on Saturday that the decision regarding winter vacations will be taken only after the completion of annual exams for classes 1st to 9th.

Winter Vacation In Kashmir 2024: Speaking to de, Mir highlighted that the government’s priority is to ensure free and smooth conduct of the examinations, which are scheduled to begin on Monday under a uniform date sheet.

“There will be no winter vacations before the culmination of exams for classes 1st to 9th,” he stated.

On the issue of admission and capitation charges by private schools, the director said that the Fee Fixation Committee is actively regulating fees and other charges. “We have already clarified that no private school can charge admission or capitation fees from parents,” he added.

He assured that any complaints about such practices will be taken seriously and necessary action will be taken.
