Srinagar, December 6, 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is expected to begin the annual regular exams for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th in the third week of February 2025.
A senior JKBOSE official revealed that although no final dates have been set, the exams are tentatively planned between February 10 and February 15. The board aims to conduct the exams a month earlier this year to align with the November-December academic session.
“We are working on a mechanism to conduct the exams earlier so students can follow the previous academic cycle,” the official stated.
Early Result Declaration Planned
When asked about result timelines, the official said efforts would be made to announce results as quickly as possible. “It may take 45-50 days to assess the papers, with some additional time for final preparations,” they added.
To prevent delays in the academic process, provisional admissions will be offered to students while results are being processed.
Academic Session Changes
Earlier, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced plans to restore the November-December academic session for students up to class 9. For students in classes 10 to 12, the transition to the old schedule will start in 2025. Their exams will be held before the winter vacations to ensure smooth academic continuity.
JKBOSE is working to implement these changes effectively to benefit students across Jammu and Kashmir.
