J&K Bank Launches Sound Box for QR Code Payments and Loan Features in mPay App, and More
In a significant step towards modernizing its services for customer convenience, J&K Bank has unveiled several enhancements to its mobile banking application, mPay Delight+.
The bank introduced these upgrades, including the Sound Box for QR Code, UPI Add-on Features, Doorstep Banking App for Business Correspondents, Online Car-loan Journey, and the eOffice Mobile app, during an event held at its corporate headquarters.
The Managing Director and CEO, Baldev Prakash, emphasized the importance of these digital offerings, stating, “This is the year of digital transformation for us. We see technology as a means to provide customers with a seamless banking experience. With these enhancements, we aim to offer our customers a ‘Bank in Pocket’ feel.”
Prakash highlighted the significance of the new features, particularly the Sound Box, which simplifies payment acceptance for both small vendors and large merchants across the bank’s operational areas.
He also praised the Doorstep Banking App for Business Correspondents, noting its role in promoting financial inclusion in J&K and Ladakh.
Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, GM (Strategy) & IT, described the day as a milestone in the bank’s digital journey, emphasizing the robustness of the enhanced digital ecosystem for customers. He highlighted the unique integration of the Sound Box with the bank’s core banking solution and the added features of the UPI global service.
M. Muzzafar Wani, DGM (IT & Business Process Re-engineering), outlined the features of the rolled-out digital services, including the ability for customers to register nominations and access pre-approved loans through the mPay Delight+ app.
He also announced the end-to-end online car-loan journey and plans to extend this service to home loans.
The newly launched eOffice Mobile App aims to streamline internal processes by facilitating the digital movement of office files and documents, promoting efficiency and eco-friendliness in the bank’s operations.
