New Prices for LPG Cylinders Effective January 1, 2024
The Indian Oil Corporation Limited has ushered in the new year with revised prices for 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders, applicable from January 1. Contrary to this adjustment, the prices for 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders, commonly used in households, remain unchanged.
Commercial Cylinder Prices Across Cities
In the national capital, a 19 kg gas cylinder now costs Rs 1,755.50, a marginal decrease from the previous Rs 1,757. Mumbai witnesses a reduction from Rs 1,710 to Rs 1,708.50, and Chennai experiences a drop from Rs 1,929 to Rs 1,924.50.
However, in Kolkata, the price has slightly increased to Rs 1,869 from Rs 1,868.50.
Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Unaffected
Notably, the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders remain steady, with the last modification recorded on August 30, 2023.
There current prices stand at Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 929 in Kolkata, Rs 902 in Mumbai, and Rs 918 in Chennai.
Revised Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices
For commercial use in hotels and restaurants, the revised price for a 19 kg LPG cylinder in New Delhi is now Rs 1,755.50, reflecting a slight decrease from the previous Rs 1,757.
Mumbai witnesses a reduction to Rs 1,708.50 from the earlier Rs 1,710. Chennai’s prices have dropped by Rs 5 to the current Rs 1,924 from the former Rs 1,929.
Kolkata, however, experienced a 50 paise increase in commercial cylinder prices, resulting in the current price of Rs 1,869 compared to the previous Rs 1,868.50. It’s crucial to note that prices may vary across states due to differences in local taxation incidences.
