Board Issues Advisory on Upcoming Board Exams for Class 10th and 12th Students

In view of the upcoming class 10th and 12th exams The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice to caution students and parents against fake news and rumours.

The notice states that the CBSE annual examinations are scheduled to be held from 15 February, 2024 to 02 April, 2024 and the Board has made elaborate arrangements for smooth and fair conduct of examinations.

The notice also mentions that some unscrupulous elements have been spreading rumours on various social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, X, Telegram, etc. about paper leak and claiming to have access to question papers of exams.

They also circulate fake links of sample papers and fake pictures/videos of question papers, which they offer to sell for money. These persons, groups and agencies intend to cheat the gullible students and parents and create confusion and panic among them.

The Board has warned that it is vigilant and active in identifying and taking action against those spreading fake news and rumours.

It is also closely monitoring the situation with the help of law enforcement agencies and taking stern action against the culprits under various provisions of IPC and IT Act.

The Board has also advised students and parents not to believe in such rumours and not to indulge in any such activity that hampers the smooth conduct of forthcoming Board examinations.

It has urged the public to be alert and not to participate in such activities or spread such information through any form of communication and to maintain the sanctity of examinations at all cost.

The Board has also requested the public to inform the CBSE on e-mail ID info.cbseexam@cbseshiksha.in if they come across any such news or rumours.
