The Principal District Institute of Education and Trainings in Srinagar has released the date sheet for the Summative Assessment 2023-24 for both government and private schools.
The assessments will cover classes 9th, 7th, 5th, 4th, and 3rd. Scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM, the assessments will be held on various dates spanning from Saturday, 09-03-2024, to Wednesday, 20-03-2024.
The assessments will cover a range of subjects including Kashmiri, Punjabi, Dogri, English, Urdu, Hindi, Science, Math, and EVS. The schedule ensures that each subject is adequately covered to assess the students’ understanding and knowledge across different disciplines.
The date sheet also includes instructions for teachers administering the assessments. For Foundational Stage classes (1st and 2nd), teachers are advised to follow the model of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy to assess students’ abilities using different skills. This approach aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of students’ foundational knowledge in literacy and numeracy.
In case of any clash of examination dates with Board examinations in schools where examination centers are located, the assessments for the affected classes will be rescheduled to the 2nd session after the culmination of Board examinations.
This ensures that students do not face any scheduling conflicts and can focus on their assessments without disruptions.
The question papers for the assessments will be framed based on the pattern of model papers issued by JKSCERT, available on the official website www.scertikonline.
This ensures standardization and consistency in the assessment process, facilitating fair evaluation of students across different schools.
The announcement also includes a list of recipients for information dissemination, including the Director of SCERT JK, Director of School Education Kashmir, Joint Director of SCERT Central/Kashmir Division, Chief Education Officer of Srinagar, Zonal Education Officers, and Cluster Heads/Complex centers.
This comprehensive dissemination ensures that all stakeholders are informed of the assessment schedule and can take necessary actions for its smooth conduct.
With the release of the Summative Assessment date sheet, students, teachers, and administrators can now prepare accordingly for the upcoming assessments, ensuring a smooth and effective evaluation process.
