Education Department Kashmir Releases Tentative Seniority List for PG Masters/Teachers
In a recent development, the School Education Department of Jammu & Kashmir has issued a tentative seniority list for Post Graduate (PG) Masters/Teachers specializing in the discipline of Kashmiri as of January 1, 2023.
The seniority list, initially updated on July 1, 2018, underwent revisions as the Directorates of School Education in Jammu and Kashmir submitted additional service particulars/bio-data for certain PG Masters/Teachers in Kashmiri.
The Department, adhering to Government Order No. 940-Edu of 2017, emphasized the importance of obtaining proper permission for pursuing PG degrees during service.
A thorough examination revealed that some individuals pursued their PG degrees through Regular/Distance mode without obtaining the necessary permission/leave from the competent authority.
Addressing concerns raised by incumbents regarding additions, deletions, and corrections, the Department has included individuals who pursued PG degrees without proper authorization, with the condition that their inclusion in the seniority list and subsequent promotions are contingent upon receiving permission for pursuing PG degrees during service from the competent authority.
A tentative seniority list, effective as of January 1, 2023, comprising 434 incumbents, has been circulated for review and objections. Members of the cadre who find themselves not included or are dissatisfied with their position in the list are invited to submit objections, supported by authenticated documentary proof of their service particulars/bio-data, within a 10-day period from the date of list issuance.
The tentative seniority list, along with detailed instructions for filing objections, is accessible on the official website of the School Education Department (www.jkeducation.gov.in).
Alok Kumar, IRS, Principal Secretary to the Government School Education Department, issued the notice on December 5, 2023, under No. Edu-HRM/484/2023-01(7321475).
The Director Information, J&K, Jammu, has been requested to publish the endorsed notice in two leading daily newspapers, one each from Kashmir and Jammu Division. Additionally, Directors of School Education in Kashmir and Jammu are tasked with uploading the notice and Annexure-A (Tentative Seniority List) on their official websites and verifying the service particulars of incumbents within 10 days.
Chief Education Officers have received instructions to cooperate with Directorates in verifying service particulars and related information.
The notice concludes by emphasizing that no objections will be entertained after the stipulated 10-day period.
