Exams Postponed in Kashmir Due to Prime Minister’s Visit Tomorrow

In a recent development, Kashmir University has announced the postponement of its upcoming exams scheduled for March 7, 2024.

This decision has been attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s anticipated visit to Srinagar on the same day.

The university, through a notification, informed all concerned candidates about the rescheduling of examinations, stating, “It is notified for the information of all concerned candidates that all the examinations of University of Kashmir, which were scheduled to be held on 07/03/2024 stand postponed.”

Additionally, the notification assured students that fresh dates for the exams will be released in due course.

While the university officials did not specify the exact reason behind the postponement, it is widely believed that the decision is directly linked to the Prime Minister’s visit to the region.

Such adjustments in the academic calendar are not uncommon, especially when high-profile dignitaries are expected to visit, as security arrangements and logistical preparations take precedence.

Moreover, in solidarity with Kashmir University’s decision, the Central University of Kashmir has also opted to postpone its exams, aligning with the revised schedule set forth by Kashmir University.

This move by the educational institutions reflects their commitment to ensuring a conducive and secure environment for both students and staff during significant events of national importance.

As the region prepares to welcome the Prime Minister, Kashmir University and the Central University of Kashmir are taking proactive measures to accommodate the changes necessitated by this important visit.
