Extension of Winter Vacation Announced by J&K Education Department

Srinagar, January 17 – In response to the prevailing harsh winter conditions, the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has made the decision to further extend the winter vacation for all government and recognized private schoolssituated in the summer zones of the region until January 19.

As reported by the ProKashmiri, the Director of School Education Jammu emphasized that this extension is a response to the severe cold weather conditions experienced in the region.

The directive applies to both government and privately recognized schools in the summer zones of Jammu division.

Previously, the directorate had instructed teaching staff to resume their duties starting January 8.

During the extended vacation period, Heads of Institutions (HOIs) are expected to ensure online classes for students in grades 10 to 12.

The DSEJ has underlined that any neglect of these guidelines by government or private schools will be taken seriously and addressed according to the established rules.
