J&K Government Announces Transfer of Associate/Assistant Professors in Govt Degree Colleges

In a move aimed at optimizing faculty distribution and enhancing academic efficiency, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Higher Education Department has recently issued two significant government orders.

Government Order No. 33 JK(HE) and Government Order No. 32 JK(HE), both dated 18-01-2024, outline comprehensive transfers and postings for Associate/Assistant Professors in the fields of Islamic Studies and Arabics, respectively.

Under the directives of Government Order No. 33 JK(HE) of 2024, the Islamic Studies department witnesses key faculty movements.

Nazar Ul Islam Wani, previously at Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah, is reassigned to GDC Thanamandi.

Concurrently, Mudasir Majeed, who held his position at GDC Thanamandi, now finds himself at GDC Bhaderwah.

Further, Mehboobah Akhter, associated with GDC Hadipora, is transferred to GDC Sopore.

Additionally, Altaf Hussain Yatoo, formerly at GDC Kokernag, assumes a new role at GDC Sogam.

Simultaneously, Government Order No. 32 JK(HE) of 2024 outlines crucial transfers and postings for the Arabics department. Mohd Mushtaq, formerly at Govt. Degree College Peeri/Kotranka, now assumes responsibilities at GDC Khansahib.

Yasar Arfat Beigh, who was positioned at GDC Doda, is relocated to Kilhotran. Anayetullah Wani, associated with GDC Banihal, is reassigned to Azad Ahmad Wani.

These strategic changes are implemented with immediate effect and are driven by administrative considerations, aiming to create a balanced and effective academic environment across government degree colleges in the region.

The objective is to ensure the optimal utilization of faculty expertise and resources for the benefit of students and the overall education system.
