Over 1300 Teachers Promoted in J&K, Download Full List

In a significant development, the Directorate of School Education in Jammu, under the guidance of the Chief Education Officer, is set to promote around 1350 trained graduate/post-graduate teachers to the position of Master.

The decision, outlined in a recent communication (No:- DSEJ/NG/M/675-678) dated January 5, 2094, is a proactive step toward enhancing the education system in the region.

The promotion process, scheduled to take place in the second week of January 2024 through a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), aims to recognize and elevate the dedicated educators in the field.

The list of eligible teachers from Jammu district, vying for this advancement, is detailed in Annexure-A of the official directive.

To facilitate a smooth and transparent process, the Chief Education Officer is entrusted with the responsibility of gathering crucial information and documents from the concerned teachers.

By January 10, 2024, the Directorate expects the submission of essential details, including the work history, conduct, and integrity of the teachers over the past three years.

Additionally, non-involvement certificates, proof of passing B.Ed with genuineness certification, and bonafide certificates in adherence to G.O No. 940 of 2017 for in-service candidates are prerequisites.

Furthermore, the Directorate emphasizes the importance of ensuring the recognition of the University’s Distance Education Council (DEC) for B.Ed.

This comprehensive approach underscores the commitment of the government to uphold the standards of education and recognize the dedicated efforts of teachers in shaping the future of the region.

This move is expected to have a positive impact on the education landscape, fostering a sense of motivation among teachers and elevating the overall quality of education in Jammu & Kashmir.
