Government Announces Transfers and Postings in Jammu and Kashmir

In a recent development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through the Department of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, has issued Government Order No. 3247-JK(LD) of 2024, dated 14-03-2024, regarding transfers and postings in various departments. These changes come into immediate effect and aim to streamline administrative functions.

Mr. Pardeep Singh Thakur, currently serving as Additional Secretary to Government in the Housing and Urban Development Department, will now also take charge of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj for a three-month period.

Ms. Vibhati Sharma, Additional Secretary to Government in the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, has been transferred to the Department of Hospitality and Protocol, Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

Meanwhile, Mtr. Narjees Nawab, Additional Secretary to Government in the Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir, will now oversee the Directorate of Floriculture, Kashmir, alongside her existing responsibilities.

Additionally, Mr. Firdous Ahmad Parray, Deputy Legal Remembrancer, previously stationed in the Home Department, will now also manage the office of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Jammu.

Other notable transfers include Ms. Rimpesh Sangotra moving from the Directorate of Social Welfare, Jammu to the Directorate of Tribal Affairs, Jammu, and Ms. Chander Kiran being reassigned from the Directorate of Skill Development, Jammu to the office of Managing Director, J&K Medical Supplies Corporation, Jammu.

Furthermore, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed will transition from the District Litigation Office, Udhampur, to the Jal Shakti Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

The changes extend to Assistant Legal Remembrancers as well, with individuals like Mr. Nisar Ahmad Bhat and Mr. Mir Mudasir taking up new responsibilities in different districts.

These adjustments aim to optimize departmental functions and enhance administrative efficiency across various sectors in Jammu and Kashmir. The officers concerned have been relieved from their previous duties as per the date of issuance of this Order.
