J&K Government Initiates Transfer of Multiple KAS Officers

In a recent development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through the General Administration Department (Services) Civil Secretariat, Jammu, issued Government Order No.592-JK(GAD) of 2024 on February 12, 2024, announcing a series of transfers and postings aimed at streamlining administrative functions across various departments.

Mr. Ajaz Abdullah Saraf, previously serving as Additional Registrar, Cooperatives, Kashmir, has been reassigned to the position of Additional Transport Commissioner, J&K. Similarly, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, the former Executive Director of J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute, will now serve as Special Secretary in the office of Chief Electoral Officer, J&K.

Among other notable changes, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Wani has been transferred from his role as Additional District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, to assume the same position in Kulgam.

Additionally, Mr. Altaf Ahmad Khan, previously serving as Additional District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, will now take on the responsibilities of Additional Registrar, Cooperatives, Kashmir.

The restructuring continues with Mr. Abdul Aziz Sheikh moving from Additional District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, to Anantnag, while Mr. Gulzar Ahmad Bhat transitions from Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, to Additional District Development Commissioner, Kupwara.

Further changes include Mr. Showkat Ahmad Rather’s transfer from Kulgam to Pulwama as Additional District Development Commissioner, and Ms. Rimpy Ohri’s move from Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, to Additional Secretary in the office of Chief Electoral Officer, J&K.

Mr. Krishan Lal, Mr. Nazir Ahmad Mir, Mr. Mohd. Tanwir, Mr. Zaffar Shawl, Mr. Harbans Lal, Mr. Abdul Star, and Mr. Kulbushan Khajuria are also among the officials affected by these administrative adjustments, each taking on new roles and responsibilities within the government framework.
