J&K Govt Issues Transfer Orders for Finance Department Employees

In a sweeping measure aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency, the Finance Department of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has recently instituted a series of transfers, postings, and additional duties for its personnel.

The directive, delineated under Government Order No. 92-F of 2024, dated March 15, 2024, signifies a strategic realignment within the department’s workforce.

Under the new arrangement, Assistant Accounts Officers (AAOs) hailing from the J&K Subordinate Accounts Service have been entrusted with the role of In Charge (I/C) Junior Scale Accounts Officers on a temporary basis.

This decision, while acknowledging their capabilities, underscores the immediate need to address certain administrative exigencies within the department.

However, it’s imperative to underscore that these appointments do not confer an automatic pathway to promotion as Junior Scale Accounts Officers on a permanent basis.

Any such progression will be subject to separate deliberations, in accordance with established protocols, and contingent upon the resolution of any pending legal challenges before competent courts of law.

Among the notable officials affected by these changes are Ghulam Hassan Teli, currently serving as AAO at the Executive Engineer, TLMD-II Pampore, Gh. Mohd. Wani stationed at the Block Development Office Shabad, and Shabir Ahmad Rishoo, who is positioned at the BDO Khillani Doda.

The scope of these adjustments extends beyond individual appointments, encompassing various departments and divisions within the Finance Department.

From roles in Flood Control and Audit & Inspections to Executive Engineering, numerous AAOs have been strategically reassigned to optimize operational efficacy and resource utilization.

This comprehensive restructuring underscores the government’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and responsive administrative framework, capable of meeting evolving challenges and facilitating effective governance across diverse sectors.
