J&K Police Issue Transfer Orders for Inspectors, SIs, ASIs, SGCTs, and Head Constables
In an administrative move aimed at optimizing operations within the Jammu and Kashmir Police force, a significant reshuffle of personnel has been announced by the Police Headquarters. Effective immediately, a number of officers have been transferred from the Armed Zone to the Government Railway Police (GRP) for their next assignments.
Among those transferred are Inspector Ab. Hamid Dar, Inspector Sharwan Raina, Inspector Mohd. Yousuf Bhat, Sub-Inspectors Mohd Shakil Sheikh, Manzoor Ahmad, Shamsher Singh, Mohd Ashraf Baba, and several Assistant Sub-Inspectors and Head Constables.
The transfer order, bearing number 434 of 2024 and dated February 19, 2024, specifies the names and corresponding Police Identification (PID) numbers of the affected personnel. These officers, spanning various ranks within the force, have been directed to report to their new postings without delay.
This directive, issued under PHQ Order No434 of 2024, comes with the approval of the Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir. The announcement was made by Virinder Singh Mánhas, AIG of Police (Personnel), underscoring the strategic decision-making behind the reallocations.
