J&K Police: Promotion of Inspectors to DySP Positions

In a recent development at the Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters, a significant step towards organizational enhancement has been initiated.

The Additional Director General of Police for the Jammu Zone, along with the Inspector General of Police for the Kashmir Zone, has jointly proposed the promotion of Inspectors to the esteemed rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP).

This proposal, aimed at addressing the vacancies in the DySP cadre through the promotion quota, underscores the commitment of the department to bolster its operational capabilities. To facilitate this process, a meticulous review of the candidates’ backgrounds is being undertaken.

The candidates’ records will be scrutinized for Vigilance clearance, ensuring a clean service record devoid of major or minor punishments over the past five years.

Additionally, any ongoing Departmental Enquiries or pending criminal cases related to the Inspectors will be thoroughly examined.

The meticulous evaluation process seeks to ensure that only deserving candidates are considered for elevation to the DySP positions, maintaining the department’s standards of integrity and professionalism.

Once the necessary clearances and assessments are obtained, the proposal will be forwarded to the Government Home Department for further deliberation and action.

In adherence to protocol, copies of this proposal and the accompanying directives have been disseminated to various departments and officials for their information and necessary actions.

This inclusive approach aims to streamline the procedural aspects and foster transparency within the organizational hierarchy.
