KPDCL Takes Action: Suspends 15 Employees and Launches Disciplinary Measures

In a recent development, the Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has taken a decisive step by suspending fifteen more employees and commencing disciplinary proceedings against them. The move comes as part of the company’s efforts to maintain discipline and accountability within its workforce.

According to reports from news agency, the Managing Director of KPDCL, along with administrative officials, has issued suspension orders against the fifteen employees. Among those facing suspension are ten Linemen, as well as other meter readers and technicians.

The decision to suspend these employees stems from alleged violations of company policies and procedures. KPDCL has invoked rule-33 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the individuals involved.

Effective immediately, all fifteen employees have been placed under suspension pending further investigation. They are required to remain attached to the concerned Executive Engineers until further notice.

This action follows a similar move on March 19, when the government suspended twelve employees of the Power Development Department and initiated disciplinary proceedings against them. Among those affected were five In-charge Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), two Assistant Engineers (AEs), and five Junior Engineers.

The decision underscores the commitment of KPDCL and the government to uphold standards of professionalism and integrity within the power sector. As investigations continue, further actions may be taken to ensure accountability and transparency in the functioning of the department.
