New Online Service Rates Notified by J&K Govt – Check Here

Jammu, January 16 – In a decisive move, the Information Technology (IT) Department, under the guidance of Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, conducted extensive inspections of Common Services Centres (CSCs) across Jammu and Kashmir.

The focus was on ensuring compliance with government-approved rates for online services.

The IT Department has set specific rates for availing online services, with Rs. 50 for government-to-citizen services and Rs. 75 for government-to-business services.

During the inspections, teams visited various locations, including Talab Tillo, Akhnoor, Gandhinagar, Miran Sahib, Domana, Mishriwala, Mathwar in Jammu, and Babademb, Khanyar, Rainawari, Saida Kadal, Hazratbal, Umer Colony, Lal Bazar, and Alamgari Bazar Batamaloo in Kashmir.

The emphasis was placed on ensuring the clear display of government-approved rates for e-services.

Responding to complaints of overcharging, the IT Department took stringent action by cancelling 1472 CSC licenses in the past six months in Jammu and Kashmir.

In parallel efforts, CSC-SPV J&K has been instructed to establish additional touchpoints for hassle-free service delivery. Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) are also being sensitized about the government-notified rates.

Deputy Commissioners, serving as Chairmen of District e-Governance Societies (DeGs), have received directives to enforce the approved rates rigorously in their respective districts. This move aims to prevent any inconvenience to the general public.

The government is committed to ensuring that citizens can seamlessly access all government services online with transparent charges at CSC Centres.

The inspection teams, led by Ajay Sharma, Under Secretary of the IT Department in Jammu division, and Mohammad Iqbal, Deputy Director of Planning in the IT Department in Kashmir division, played a crucial role in enforcing these measures.
