Placements of Principals as In-Charge CEOs and Equivalent in Jammu & Kashmir
In a recent development within the School Education Department of Jammu & Kashmir, Government Order No. 187-JK(Edu) of 2024, dated March 14, 2024, has announced significant placements. The move comes in the wake of administrative needs and to address exigencies effectively.
Under this order, several Principals have been designated as In-Charge Chief Education Officers and equivalent, filling vital positions until regular appointments are made by JKPSC/DPC.
The reshuffling includes various principals moving to new roles, aiming to ensure smooth operations within the education sector.
Among the notable changes, Ram Gopal Dogra and Anjali Gupta from SRML HSS Jammu have been appointed to HSS Rabta Jammu.
Similarly, other principals like Makhni Devi, Surjeet Kumar Sharma, and others have been assigned new responsibilities across different educational institutions.
Noteworthy placements include Javed Ahmad Kichloo, who will join BHSS Kishtwar as CEO, and Shabir Ahmad Khan, appointed as CEO in Anantnag. These transitions are set to take effect after the retirement of the present incumbents, with specific dates mentioned in the order.
However, it’s essential to note the conditions attached to these placements. Officers involved are not entitled to charge allowances, and the arrangement is purely temporary, without conferring any rights regarding seniority, promotion, or regularization.
Any adverse reports or failure to join the new posting within seven days will result in cancellation of the assignment.
Additionally, officers are required to submit undertakings regarding the authenticity of their service particulars and academic credentials.
These measures are in place to ensure transparency and integrity within the education administration.
Overall, the placements aim to streamline administrative functions within the School Education Department of Jammu & Kashmir, enhancing efficiency and governance in the education sector.
