JKBOSE Releases List of Students Whose Examination Forms Are Cancelled
The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has recently taken decisive action in response to irregularities discovered in the submission of examination forms for the Class 11th and 12th Annual Regular exams of 2024.
After a meticulous examination of the enrollment data, it came to light that certain institutions had submitted forms for candidates without appropriately verifying their eligibility status.
In accordance with a Government Order issued by the School Education department, students are provisionally admitted to the next class following the conclusion of Annual Regular Board examinations.
However, this provision applies only to those who have met the necessary academic requirements. For those who are unsuccessful in these exams, they are allowed to continue their studies until the results of the subsequent Bi-annual examination are announced.
It is crucial to note that provisional admission is contingent upon passing the Bi-annual examination; failure to do so results in the revocation of provisional admission, and such candidates are ineligible for provisional admission in the current session.
Despite the clear instructions provided to institutions after the declaration of Bi-Annual 2023 examination results, it has come to light that certain institutions failed to adhere to these guidelines. These institutions managed to submit examination forms for ineligible candidates alongside those who met the necessary criteria. This breach of protocol has raised concerns within the JKBOSE administration.
As a consequence of these irregularities, the candidature of all ineligible candidates for the Class 11th and 12th exams of the Annual Regular Session 2024 has been annulled with immediate effect.
Heads of institutions have been issued strict directives to exercise vigilance and ensure that only eligible candidates are permitted to appear for the theory examinations. This decision aims to uphold the integrity of the examination process and ensure fairness for all students.
In order to provide clarity and transparency, the list of ineligible candidates has been made available on the official JKBOSE website. This measure allows stakeholders to verify the status of candidates and ensures accountability in the examination process.
For those affected by this decision, ineligible candidates have been provided with alternative options. They may choose to appear for the Bi-Annual 2024 examination in a private capacity or opt to participate in the Annual 2025 examination in a regular capacity, in accordance with the prevailing norms and regulations.
Moving forward, the JKBOSE remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and fairness in the examination process. This recent action underscores the board’s dedication to ensuring that all candidates are given an equal opportunity to demonstrate their academic abilities and achieve success in their educational pursuits.
