JKBOSE Reschedules Class 10th, 11th, and 12th Board Exams in Jammu and Kashmir

In response to directives from the Joint Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the rescheduling of upcoming board examinations for the academic year 2024.

The decision comes following concerns to avoid clashes between exam dates and the scheduled Lok Sabha Election 2024.

The National Testing Agency’s Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024, session 2, scheduled from April 4th to April 15th, further prompted the need for adjustments in the examination timetable. Additionally, numerous representations were received from students urging for the rescheduling of board exams.

As a result, the board has announced that the examinations for Class 11th Annual Regular 2024 in Soft Zone areas, along with the Annual Regular 2024 examinations for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th in Hard Zone areas, will now be conducted on revised dates and in two sessions, morning and evening shifts. The previously issued date sheets for these examinations stand cancelled.

The revised date sheets, labeled as Annexures “A”, “B”, “C”, and “D”, are provided with this notification for reference. The notification, numbered F (Acad-C)/Rev/DT/AR/XI-SZ/X-XI-XII-HZ/2024, is dated March 28th, 2024.

Copies of this notification have been sent to various concerned authorities, including Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir, Jammu, and Ladakh, Administrative Secretaries of the Government School Education Departments, Directors of School Education, and Chief Education Officers of UT of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, among others.
