Revised Datesheet Released for Class 8th Examination in J&K

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, represented by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, has recently unveiled a freshly revised date sheet for the Middle Standard Examination (MSE) session 2023-24.

This comprehensive schedule encompasses both Soft Zone and Hard Zone areas, catering to the academic needs of students across the region.

The updated timetable encompasses crucial subjects such as Social Science, Science, and Regional Languages, with examinations slated to commence promptly at 10:00 AM. For the Soft Zone territories, the examination dates have been designated as follows: English on April 2, 2024 (Tuesday), Science on April 6, 2024 (Saturday), Social Science on April 8, 2024 (Monday), and Regional Languages on April 15, 2024 (Monday).

Meanwhile, for the Hard Zone regions, the examination schedule is delineated as follows: English on April 2, 2024 (Tuesday), Science on April 6, 2024 (Saturday), Social Science on April 8, 2024 (Monday), Hindi/Urdu on April 10, 2024 (Wednesday), Mathematics on April 12, 2024 (Friday), and Regional Languages on April 15, 2024 (Monday).

Of significant note is the modification in examination timing, which has been shifted from 11:00 AM to 10:00 AM. In light of this adjustment, students are earnestly reminded to ensure their punctual presence at the designated examination centers and to carry their admit cards for requisite verification purposes.

Furthermore, in a bid to uphold the integrity and smooth execution of the examination process, all examination centers are mandated to diligently adhere to the prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The issuance of this revised schedule, denoted by the reference number SCERT/C/Ass-Cell/2024/1069-1097, underscores the government’s commitment to fostering transparency and efficiency within the academic domain.

Copies of the schedule have been disseminated to pertinent authorities, including the Chief Electoral Officer, Divisional Commissioners, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, and Director of School Education, among others, for widespread awareness and implementation.
