JKSSB Announces Cancellation of Certain Class-IV Posts
Government of Jammu and Kashmir Announces Cancellation of Withheld Recommendations for Class-IV Posts
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has issued a notification regarding the cancellation of withheld recommendations for Class-IV posts, as per the Jammu & Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020.
The Final Selection List for 3422 Class-IV posts in District/Divisional/Union Territory Cadres, under Phase-II, was initially advertised in June 2020. Subsequently, the Board notified the list on October 6, 2022.
However, recommendations for certain candidates were withheld due to uncertainties about their maximum qualifications.
In an effort to provide an opportunity for clarification, the JKSSB issued a notice in November 2022 to 269 candidates, requesting necessary documents as proof, along with an undertaking. Unfortunately, only 209 candidates complied, while 60 candidates chose not to participate.
In response to this situation, the Board deliberated upon the pending cases and decided to offer a final opportunity to the 60 candidates who had not previously represented themselves. A notice was issued on October 4, 2023, granting these candidates three days to submit the required documents and an undertaking.
Despite this final opportunity, 54 candidates failed to submit any documents. Consequently, in its 241st meeting, the Board decided to cancel their withheld recommendations.
This decision signifies the Board’s commitment to maintaining transparency and adherence to recruitment rules while finalizing Class-IV appointments in Jammu and Kashmir.
