JKSSB Announces Document Verification Schedule for Sub Inspector Post

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has taken a significant step in the recruitment process for the Sub Inspector position in the Home Department.

Following the Computer Based Written Test (CBT) conducted from December 7 to December 20, 2022, the board released the results and scoresheet through Notice No. JKSSB-COEDEXAM(UT)/54/2022-03(7057013) on November 3, 2023.

In the subsequent notice dated November 6, 2023 (No. JKSSB-COEDEXAM(UT)/54/2022-03(7057013)), candidates falling within the consideration zone were shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) as outlined in the Home Department’s guidelines (5.0 214 dated July 15, 2021).

A dedicated committee, formed by Order No. 292-SSB of 2023 dated November 29, 2023, along with Order No. 297-SSB of 2023 dated December 2, 2023, conducted the PST/PET at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar (December 6-7, 2023), and Gulshan Ground, Jammu (December 13-19, 2023).

As a result, the committee has provided a list of candidates who successfully cleared the PST/PET to the Board. Annexure “A” of the latest notification contains the names of these qualified candidates.

Now, candidates falling within the consideration zone, listed in Annexure “B,” are required to undergo document verification. The designated Document Verification Committees will meticulously examine the original documents and certificates of the candidates as per the specified schedule and venue.

Candidates must present the following documents in original, accompanied by two self-attested copies, during the verification process:

1. Copy of Online Application Form(s).
2. Two recent passport-size color photographs.
3. One original photo ID Proof (Aadhar card, Voter Card, Pan Card, Passport, etc.).
4. D.O.B Certificate (10th Diploma/Marks card).
5. Valid Category Certificate (if applicable).
6. Domicile Certificate.
7. 10+2 Marks Sheet/Diploma.
8. Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
9. NCC Certificate.
10. Bonafide certificate (prescribed format) issued by the Controller/Registrar of the concerned University/Institute for candidates obtaining qualifications outside the UT of J&K.
11. In case of equivalent education qualification, a relevant Equivalence Certificate from the concerned authorities at the time of Document Verification.
12. For Ex-Servicemen: (a) Matriculate ex-serviceman with at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces. (b) Undertaking in the form of an Affidavit (attested by Magistrate Ist Class) confirming non-availing of ESM Category benefit earlier.

Candidates failing to appear before the respective Document Verification Committees on the scheduled date will forfeit their selection rights.
