JKSSB Announces Exams for Deputy Inspector, Inspector, Sub Inspector, and Patwari Positions
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) is gearing up to conduct objective type/descriptive written tests for several posts in the upcoming month of March 2024.
Under the purview of Circular No.05-GAD of 2016, issued by the General Administration Department, the JKSSB is set to administer examinations for various positions as per the following schedule.
Firstly, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, with Notification No. 04 of 2022, will undergo examination on 03.03.2024. A total of 15 posts are available for this position, emphasizing the crucial role within law enforcement.
Secondly, the Inspector/Equivalent Sub Inspector position, as per Notification No. Sagar 04 of 2020, will have its examination on 10.03.2024. With a substantial number of 62 posts, this position signifies a significant opportunity for aspiring candidates.
Thirdly, the Inspector role, under Notification No. 04 of 2020, is scheduled for examination on 17.03.2024. This position, comprising 18 posts, offers prospects for individuals seeking to contribute to administrative functions.
Lastly, the Patwari position, governed by Notification No. 02 of 2021, will have its examination on 31.03.2024. The distribution of candidates across divisions is as follows: Jammu (23,210), Kashmir (8,686), Srinagar (20,322), and Budgam (32,334). These figures underscore the diverse geographical reach of the examination process.
In accordance with the circular instructions from the General Administration Department, which outline the administrative responsibilities, respective authorities are requested to furnish a list of institutions along with their seating capacities.
These institutions will serve as examination venues, with a preference for districts including Jammu, Samba, Kathua, and Udhampur in the Jammu Division, and Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, and more.
