JKSSB Final List Released: Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Selections Announced for Public Works Department

In a recent development, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released the final selection list for the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) positions in the Public Works (R&B) Department, UT Cadre.

This comes after the successful completion of the Written Examination held on 01.10.2023 and subsequent Document Verification.

The recruitment process, initiated with the Public Works (R&B) Department’s requisition, saw the advertisement of 190 Junior Engineer (Mechanical) posts under Item No. 202, as per Notification No. 06 of 2022 dated 11.11.2022.

The Final Selection List, approved by the Board and notified through Notification No. JKSSB-Scry/23/2023-03(E-7335996) dated 10.01.2024, is now available for public scrutiny. However, it is essential to note that two posts are being reserved for further examination and will be recommended separately in due course.

The released Selection List is subject to any pending writ petitions or other legal proceedings before competent Courts. Additionally, any ongoing inquiries involving candidates in the list will impact their selection status.

It is crucial to highlight that the document verification and scrutiny conducted by the Board were limited to ensuring the physical possession and authenticity of Category/Degree certificates.

The responsibility for further verification lies with the Indenting Department/Appointing authority.

Candidates were selected based on self-declarations and certificates submitted by them.

Any discovery of false information or the use of fake documents/certificates may result in the cancellation of the selection, with appropriate criminal proceedings initiated against the concerned candidate/s.
