The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released the Final Selection List for the recruitment of Junior Environmental Engineers in the Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment under UT Cadre.

This announcement comes after a meticulous evaluation process, starting with the requisition from the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment in March 2020.

The requisition sought direct recruitment for five (5) posts of Junior Environmental Engineer, Level-6D (35800-113200), with a category-wise breakdown provided as follows:

Applicants were required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering or a 3-year diploma in the relevant disciplines from an Indian University/Institute, with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

The recruitment process initiated with the release of Notification No. 03 of 2021 on June 4, 2021, inviting eligible candidates to apply. Subsequently, an OMR-based Written Examination took place on November 5, 2023, with the Result/Score-sheet published on November 19, 2023.

The following steps included Document Verification (DV) and Supplementary Document Verification, leading to the constitution of the Selection Committee. The Provisional Selection List, approved in the Board’s meeting on January 5, 2024, was then made public on January 10, 2024, inviting objections from candidates.

After thorough deliberation in the Board’s meeting on January 23, 2024, the Final Selection List has now been officially notified.

The Board emphasizes that this list is subject to the outcome of any pending OAS/Writ Petition(s) and may undergo scrutiny for any concerns regarding the candidates listed.

The formal recommendations to the concerned Indenting Department will be forwarded separately.
