JKSSB Releases Final Selection List for Deputy Inspector Fisheries Positions

In a recent development, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued the final selection list for the posts of Deputy Inspector Fisheries/Equivalent, Level-4, under the Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department.

The recruitment drive, advertised through Notification No. 04 of 2021 dated 17.07.2021, aimed to fill 42 positions.

The positions were categorized for Divisional Cadre, with 10 posts in Jammu and 32 in Kashmir. The selection criteria specified a written examination, and the Computer Based Test (CBT) was conducted on 08.02.2023, following which the Board published the Result/Score-sheet on 09.06.2023.

Subsequent to the CBT, the Board carried out Document Verification (DV) and Supplementary Document Verification, ensuring a thorough scrutiny of candidates falling within the consideration zone.

A Selection Committee was then constituted, which prepared the Provisional Selection List, published on 15.12.2023, inviting objections from candidates.

After careful examination of objections and due deliberations, the Final Selection List was approved by the Board during its 253rd meeting held on 05.01.2024.

The list includes considerations under Horizontal Reservation for candidates with disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM).

The Final Selection List, detailed in Annexure-A & B of the notification, is now officially released. However, it is subject to the outcome of any OAS/Writ Petition(s) pending adjudication in a Competent Court of law.

Additionally, the list is contingent upon the result of any ongoing enquiry involving candidates mentioned in it.

Formal recommendations to the concerned Indenting Department will be forwarded separately, and candidates with withheld recommendations are required to submit necessary documents within a month.

The selection process emphasized self-declaration and certificates submitted by the candidates, with a caution that any falsification or use of fake documents may lead to the cancellation of selection at any stage.
