It’s important to note that certain candidates had appealed to the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench, through O.A./1855/2021 titled “Vikram Kumar & Others V/S Union Territory of J&K & Others.” Their plea sought the adjustment of the upper-age limit for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspectors as 33 years, as per Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2021, dated October 21, 2021.
In response to this, the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal directed that the application forms of the applicants be accepted, provided the last date for submitting forms, as per the counsel for the applicants, was December 18, 2021. Subsequently, applicants were allowed to participate in the selection process at their own cost and risk. However, the results of these applicants were withheld until further orders from the Tribunal.
The results of these applicants will remain withheld in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Tribunal until further orders or the disposal of the OAs.
