GMC Recruitment 2023: Apply For Various Positions, Check Eligibility and Last Date

Government Medical College Jammu (GMC Jammu) has officially announced the commencement of the recruitment process for faculty positions in accordance with the provisions outlined in S.O 364 of 2020 and SRO 88. The recruitment drive is aligned with the Government Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023, dated 04-04-2023.

The call for applications comes in response to the letter from the Administrative Department (No. Me-Gztd/NMC/13/2023 dated 26-05-2023), specifying the criteria for the engagement of faculty members on an academic arrangement basis.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must adhere to the following eligibility conditions:

• As per S.O 364 of 2020 and SRO 88.
• In-service candidates are not eligible for engagement under these rules.
• The age limit for Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor/Lecturer is up to 67 years as of the date of notice issuance.

Application Process:
Applicants are required to submit their applications with the following documents to the office of the undersigned by or before 31-12-2023:

1. Date of Birth Certificate (Secondary School/Matric Certificate)
2. Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K.
3. MBBS Marks Sheets (All), Degree, and MCI/State Medical Council Registration Certificate.
4. Post Graduation and MCI/State Medical Council Registration Certificate.
5. MBBS/MD/MS Attempt Certificate and MBBS Internship completion Certificate.
6. MBBS Marks Card (All Prof.).
7. Teaching experience certificate as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023.
8. Research Publication/participation in conferences/credit for writing a book or chapter.
9. Gold Medal for overall 1st Position in MBBS.
10. Higher Qualification Certificate (DM/MCH/DNB) Super Speciality.
11. Affidavit duly attested from 1st class Magistrate stating that the Doctor is not in active Govt Services.
12. Category Certificate, if any.
13. Any other documents required by the selection committee during the recruitment process.

Additional Information:
– The selection committee will be constituted strictly as per S.O 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020.
– The number of vacancies in a particular department may increase/decrease, or may not be available depending upon the availability of vacancies at the time of the interview.
– The appointee shall be authorized to take leave as per S.O. 364 only. Absence of more than three months from duties shall lead to the cancellation of the appointment without any prior notice.

Terms and Conditions:
1. The selected candidates shall have to enter into an agreement that they will not leave the department before the completion of one year’s contract.
2. Abandoning/terminating the arrangement will require one month’s prior notice on either side, failing which the salary shall not be paid for one month to the incumbent, which shall always remain in deposit with the department and released only on completion.
3. In case of misconduct, indiscipline, unsatisfactory performance, or any action detrimental to the interest of the institute, the engagement of the candidate shall be terminated without prior notice.
4. No application of the in-service candidate shall be entertained by virtue of the existence of S.O. 364.
5. The applications of those candidates shall be rejected who fail to attach any requisite requirements/documents/marks sheets with their application formats.
6. A contact number/email I.D. must be indicated on the application.
7. The applicants must attach the Bank Draft of Rs. 1500/- (one thousand and five hundred Rupees only) pledged to Principal Govt. Medical College, Jammu from J&K Bank only with the prescribed format (typed print).
