Government Medical College Jammu is set to embark on a groundbreaking venture with the establishment of an Advanced Molecular Oncology Diagnostic Laboratory.
To facilitate this ambitious project, the institution has released an advertisement inviting applications for multiple positions, emphasizing the pivotal role of these professionals in shaping the future of diagnostic oncology.
Positions Open for Recruitment:
1. Research Scientist (Non-Medical) – 1 Post
Eligibility: Candidates with an M.Sc in Life Science and four years of relevant experience or a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from a recognized university with a minimum of two years of R&D teaching experience in Molecular Oncology Laboratory Sciences.
2. Laboratory Technician – 2 Posts
Eligibility: Aspiring candidates should be 12th pass in science subjects and possess a two-year Diploma in MLT/B.Sc. MLT. Additionally, a prerequisite for this position is a minimum of two years of experience in a histopathology laboratory.
3. Data Entry Operator – 1 Post
Eligibility: Graduates with a proven track record in computer applications are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in EDP work in government, PSU, or any other recognized institution is an added advantage.
4. MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) – 1 Post
Eligibility: High school equivalent qualification from a recognized board, coupled with experience in computer applications, is sought for this position.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will be evaluated based on a point system considering qualifications, experience, and specific skills. The assessment will be conducted on a pro-rata basis, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.
Application Process:
Interested and eligible candidates are required to submit their application forms along with supporting documents to the office of the Principal, GMC, Jammu, on or before January 12, 2024.
The application should be meticulously filled out in the prescribed format.
Terms & Conditions:
1. The contractual engagement is initially for one year, with the possibility of renewal on a yearly basis contingent upon good performance and project continuity.
2. Applicants must be residents of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
3. The appointing authority reserves the right to terminate the engagement without specifying any reason.
4. Candidates are required to provide one month’s advance notice before resigning from the job. Alternatively, one month’s remuneration will be given in lieu of notice.
5. Contractual engagement does not confer any right on the candidate to claim extension, benefits, or regularization.
6. Leave, travel, and other entitlements will be governed by the existing rules.
General Instructions:
1. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process.
2. Applications not accompanied by necessary supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
3. In case the last date for receipt of applications falls on a declared holiday, the next working day will be considered the deadline.
4. The application should be superscripted with the relevant post.
Affidavit Requirement:
Candidates are required to submit an affidavit duly attested by a 1st class magistrate, affirming their agreement to abide by all terms and conditions. They must explicitly state that they will not claim any right for regularization on such posts at any given point in time.
