Govt Medical College Srinagar Announces Vacancies for Nurses and Lab Assistants, Apply
The Government Medical College Srinagar, located in the heart of Jammu and Kashmir, has issued an advertisement calling for eligible candidates to apply for various positions on an Academic Arrangement Basis.
The college is seeking qualified individuals from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir to fill positions such as Jr. Grade Nurse and Laboratory Assistant.
Candidates interested in applying for these positions must meet specific eligibility criteria outlined by the college. For the Jr. Grade Nurse position, candidates must hold a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery or a B.Sc in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Similarly, candidates applying for the Laboratory Assistant position should have a minimum qualification of 10+2 with science or above, along with a diploma in Laboratory Assistant course or a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Course.
The engagement for these advertised positions will be governed as per S.O. 364 of 2020 and will be on an Academic Arrangement Basis. The initial engagement will be for a period of one year or until the posts are filled up on a regular basis. Selected candidates will be paid a salary at the minimum of the pay scale, in accordance with the terms specified.
Applicants must ensure they meet the age criteria, with the minimum age being 18 years and the maximum age being 63 years at the time of submission of the application. It is important to note that candidates must possess all required documents, and no document issued beyond the cutoff date will be accepted.

A fee of Rs. 500/- is to be paid online through Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card. Applications of candidates who do not pay the fee through online mode will not be considered. After successful submission of the application form, candidates must take a printout of the form and fee receipt.
The Government Medical College Srinagar has also specified instructions for document verification and has requested candidates to ensure that their email IDs and phone numbers provided in the online application form are active during the selection process.
