Teaching Positions Open at Army Public School, Srinagar: Eligibility – Bachelor’s Degree

In a bid to bolster education in the region, Army Public School, Srinagar, invites applications for teaching positions through the Combined Selection Board (CSB).

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):

Candidates eligible for teaching classes XI-XII are encouraged to apply. Qualifications include a two-year Integrated Post Graduate MA/M.Sc. Course from the Regional College of Education of NCERT in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Alternatively, a Post Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks, or equivalent grade, along with a three-year integrated B.Ed/M.Ed. is acceptable.

A Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject is also considered.

Subject-specific qualifications for PGT positions include Physics/Electronics/Applied Physics/Nuclear Physics for PGT Physics, Accountancy/B.St for PGT Commerce, and Geography for PGT Geography.

Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):

Eligible for teaching classes VI-X, TGT candidates must possess a four-year Integrated Degree Course from the Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% aggregate marks.

Alternatively, a Post Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks, or equivalent grade, along with a three-year integrated B.Ed/M.Ed. is accepted. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% in the concerned subjects/combination is also considered.

Specific qualifications for TGT positions include:

TGT English: English as a subject in all three years of Graduation.
TGT Hindi: Hindi as a subject in all three years of Graduation.
TGT S.St: Any two of the following – History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science, with one being either History or Geography.
TGT Science: Bachelor’s degree in Science with any two of the following subjects – Botany, Zoology, Chemistry & Physics.

In addition to the above, candidates must possess a B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University, pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)/Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), and demonstrate proficiency in teaching in English Medium. Knowledge of Computer Applications is desirable.
