The University of Kashmir, based in Srinagar, has issued an advertisement inviting applications for various positions in a research project titled “Storage, transport and chemical evolution of infiltrating water in critical zone (CZ), western Himalaya”.

This project, funded by the Science and Engineering Board (SERB), Government of India, offers temporary positions initially for one year, with the possibility of extension up to two years depending on the candidate’s performance and funding availability.

The positions available are for a Junior Research Fellow (2 positions) and a Field Assistant (1 position). For the Junior Research Fellow role, candidates must hold a minimum of 55% marks in M.Sc. Applied Geology/Geology.

Preference will be given to candidates with NET/SET/GATE qualifications. As for the Field Assistant position, candidates should possess a BSc/3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.

Applicants are required to submit their applications on plain paper, including their bio-data and supporting qualifications (self-attested), by February 2024.

The university will communicate the date, timing, and venue of interviews to the candidates via email and telephone. It’s important to note that no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
