Kashmir Weather Update: Light Rain Expected

The weather forecast for the upcoming days indicates a mix of conditions across the region. Starting from today, there’s a possibility of thundershower activity at isolated places.

Moving forward to the 30th and 31st of May, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy with light rain and thunder at isolated places. Similar conditions are anticipated for the 1st and 2nd of June.

However, a shift is predicted for the 3rd and 4th of June, where generally dry weather is expected. But from the 5th to the 7th of June, the forecast suggests generally cloudy skies with light rain and thunder at scattered places.

In terms of advisories, there’s no relief from the heat wave or hot and dry weather conditions over the plains of Jammu Division for the next 7 days. However, there might be slight relief from these conditions during the 30th and 31st of May, as well as the 1st and 2nd of June, over most parts of Kashmir Division and a few hilly areas of Jammu Division.

Another spell of heat wave is predicted during the 3rd and 4th of June over Kashmir Division. It’s advised to avoid heat exposure, especially during the peak hours of 12 noon to 3 PM, and to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, especially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, infants, and children.
