Forecast:

January 27th: Expect partly to generally cloudy skies with a chance of light snow in isolated higher regions by late evening.

January 28th-29th: The forecast indicates generally cloudy conditions with the possibility of light to moderate rain or snow in many areas.

January 30th-31st: There’s a possibility of light to moderate rain or snow in various places.

February 1st-3rd: Similar conditions persist with the likelihood of light to moderate precipitation across several areas.

Advisory:

1. The current weather system may result in temporary closures of roads in higher regions and vital passes like Sinthan Pass, Mughal Road, Sadhna Pass, Razdan Pass, Zojila, etc., particularly from January 28th to 31st. Travelers are advised to plan accordingly.

Additional Information:

The Meteorological Department has highlighted that night temperatures have remained above normal in most areas except for the twin capitals. Srinagar recorded a low of minus 2.3°C, while Qazigund saw a minimum of 2.2°C.

Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 5.1°C, while Kokernag recorded minus 0.8°C. Kupwara town registered a low of minus 2.4°C, while Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 6.4°C. Jammu recorded a minimum of 7.0°C.
