Latest Update: LPG Cylinder Prices Reduced – Find the New Rates Here

In a recent development, the prices of commercial cooking gas (LPG) witnessed a decline of Rs 39.50 per 19-kg cylinder, aligning with the easing trend in global benchmarks.

Despite this adjustment, the rates for domestic LPG, commonly used in household kitchens, remain steady at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder.

According to a notification by oil firms, the revised cost for commercial LPG, utilized in establishments like hotels and restaurants, will now stand at Rs 1,757 per 19-kg cylinder in the national capital.

This marks a decrease from the previous rate of Rs 1,796.50. Notably, state-owned oil firms had recently increased the price of commercial LPG by Rs 21 on December 1.

As per the latest pricing structure, Mumbai will witness a cost of Rs 1,710 per 19-kg cylinder for commercial LPG, Kolkata at Rs 1,868.50, and Chennai at Rs 1,929. It’s important to highlight that rates vary across states due to local taxation differences.

The Saudi contract price (CP), a key benchmark influencing LPG pricing, has experienced a decline in recent weeks due to concerns about oversupply.

State-owned entities such as Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) routinely adjust cooking gas and ATF prices on the 1st of each month, based on the average international price from the preceding month. The current revision, however, deviates from this standard.

Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices have maintained a freeze for an unprecedented 21 consecutive months. In the national capital, petrol is priced at Rs 96.72 per litre, while diesel stands at Rs 89.62 per litre.
