33 Senior Police Officers Transferred in Kashmir; Download Order Here

In a significant administrative move, the Home Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued Government Order No.44-Home of 2024, dated 22.01.2024, detailing a series of transfers and postings within the police department.

Shri Shivam Siddharth, an IPS officer who was awaiting adjustment, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police for North Jammu, succeeding Shri Kuldeep Chand Handa in this role.

Meanwhile, Shri Ranjit Singh, the former Superintendent of Police, has been reassigned to the position of Deputy Commandant at JKAP-8th Battalion.

The reshuffle also involves Shri Azhar Bashir Baba, who was serving as Additional Superintendent of Police Security in Kashmir.

He has now taken charge as the Superintendent of Police for APCR Kashmir, filling a vacant position.

Additionally, Shri Arif Amin Shah, the outgoing Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) in Srinagar, has been reassigned to the role of Deputy Commandant at JKAP-9th Battalion, addressing another available vacancy in the department.

Further changes include the transfer of Shri Naresh Singh, previously Additional Superintendent of Police in Shopian, to the position of Joint Director (Headquarters) SSF Srinagar.

This move follows the replacement of Shri Brijesh Kumar Sharma.

Several other officers, such as Shri Rajinder Singh, Shri Mohd. Anwar-ul-Haq, Shri Vivek Shekhar Sharma, Shri Feroz Ahmad, Shri Tanweer Ahmad Dar, Shri Zoheb Tanweer.

Shri Amit Verma, Shri Mashkoor Ahmed Zargar, Shri Brijesh Kumar Sharma, Shri Kulbir Chand Handa, and Shri Farhat Jeelani, have also experienced transfers and postings, each contributing to the overall restructuring within the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department.

The changes aim to optimize administrative efficiency and address key vacancies in various units and battalions.
