Administrative Shakeup in Jammu and Kashmir: 41 IAS and JKAS Officers Transferred

Srinagar, Oct 29: In a significant administrative development, the government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued orders for the transfer of 41 officers, including three Deputy Commissioners. These transfers come into immediate effect and aim to enhance the efficiency of the administration.

Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, an IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre from 2013, who was serving as the Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute in J&K, has been reassigned as the Director of Sericulture in J&K. Khalid Jahangir, a JKAS officer and the Managing Director of J&K Trade Promotion Organization, will also take on the additional responsibilities of Director, Entrepreneurship Development Institute, J&K.

Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary, an IAS officer from the AGMUT cadre (2015) and the Managing Director of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited, has been transferred to the role of Deputy Commissioner in Ramban.

The reshuffling continues with several officers assuming new roles in various departments, contributing to the efficient functioning of the government. These changes are expected to have a positive impact on the administration of Jammu and Kashmir.

Babila Rakwal, a JKAS officer who was serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Reasi, has been reassigned as the Mission Director of the National Health Mission in J&K, relieving Bhupinder Kumar, an IAS officer, of his additional charge in the Health and Medical Education Department.

Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, a JKAS officer and the Director General of Sericulture in J&K, will now serve as the Managing Director of J&K Agro Industries Development Corporation.

Om Prakash, a JKAS officer who was the Director of Geology and Mining in J&K, has been transferred to the role of Managing Director of J&K Financial Corporation.

Arun Kumar Manhas, a JKAS officer and the Managing Director of J&K Agro Industries Development Corporation, has been reassigned as the Director of Industries and Commerce in Jammu, relieving Kishore Singh Chib, a JKAS officer, of his additional charge in the Planning, Development, and Monitoring Department.

Ali Afsar Khan, a JKAS officer serving as the Additional District Development Commissioner in Bandipore, will now serve as the Additional Commissioner of State Taxes (Tax Planning, Policy, and Advance Ruling) in J&K.

Ajay Kumar, a JKAS officer who was the Managing Director of J&K Financial Corporation, has been transferred to the role of Registrar at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in Katra, J&K, on deputation basis.

Mussarat-ul-Islam, a JKAS officer who was the Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, has been reassigned as the Managing Director of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited.

Additional responsibilities have also been allocated to various officers to ensure the smooth functioning of their respective departments.

Nagendra Singh Jamwal, a JKAS officer and the Registrar at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in Katra, J&K, has been transferred to the position of Director of Command Area Development in Jammu, relieving Rajinder Singh Tara, a JKAS officer, of his additional charge as Custodian General in J&K.

Khalid Majeed, a JKAS officer and the Director of Panchayati Raj and ex-officio Special Secretary to the Government in the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, has been reassigned as the Director of Industries and Commerce in Kashmir, relieving Mehmood Ahmad Shah, a JKAS officer, of his additional charge in the Handloom and Handicrafts Department in Kashmir.

Additional responsibilities have been allocated to ensure the efficient operation of departments.

Vishesh Paul Mahajan, a JKAS officer who was the Deputy Commissioner of Doda, has been transferred to the role of Deputy Commissioner in Reasi.

Gurvinderjeet Singh, a JKAS officer who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department (GAD), has been posted as the Registrar of District Udhampur.

Kapil Sharma, a JKAS officer who was also awaiting orders of adjustment in the GAD, has been posted as the Special Secretary to the Government in the Youth Services and Sports Department.

Kishori Lal, a JKAS officer who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the GAD, has been posted as the Director of Estates in Jammu.

The reshuffling continues with Rakesh Magotra, a JKAS officer, who was serving as the Special Secretary to the Government in the Youth Services and Sports Department, now transferred to the role of Director of Geology and Mining in J&K.

Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, a JKAS officer who was the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Budgam, has been transferred to the position of Additional District Development Commissioner in Shopian, filling an available vacancy.

Bal Krishan, a JKAS officer and the Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes in the Judicial department, has been reassigned as the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Development Authority in Bhaderwah.

Veveik Puri, a JKAS officer and Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Development Authority in Rajouri, has been transferred to the role of Joint Director of Information (Hqr) in the Directorate of Information, J&K.

Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, a JKAS officer who was the Additional Deputy Commissioner in Rajouri, will hold the charge of the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Development Authority in Rajouri, in addition to his own duties, until further orders.

Ansuya Jamwal, a JKAS officer serving as the Joint Director of Hospitality and Protocol in Jammu, has been transferred and posted as the Additional Deputy Commissioner in Jammu.

Ravi Mohan Khajuria, a JKAS officer who was the Registrar of District Udhampur, has been transferred to the position of Additional Secretary to the Government in the Health and Medical Education Department.

Rajesh Kumar Basotra, a JKAS officer who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the GAD, has been posted as the Registrar of Sales Tax Tribunal in J&K, filling an available vacancy.

Naresh Kumar, a JKAS officer who was the Joint Director of Information (Hqr) in the Directorate of Information, J&K, has been transferred to the role of Joint Director of Hospitality and Protocol in Jammu.

Shahid Mehmood, a JKAS officer who was the Additional Secretary to the Government in the Public Works (R&B) Department, has been transferred and posted as Programme Officer at ICDS Project in Budgam, filling an available vacancy.

Navdeep Wazir, a JKAS officer and Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Development Authority in Bhaderwah, has been transferred to the role of Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes in the Judicial department.

Vivek Phonsa, a JKAS officer serving as Additional Secretary to the Government in the Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government in the Public Works (R&B) Department.

Abdul Rashid Dass, a JKAS officer who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the GAD, has been posted as Programme Officer at ICDS Project in Kulgam, filling an available vacancy.

Mehraj-ud-din Shah, a JKAS officer who was the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal, has been transferred to the position of Additional Deputy Commissioner in Budgam.

Ajaz Qesar Malik, a JKAS officer serving as the Assistant Commissioner in the State Taxes Department in Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government in the Information Technology Department.

Gulzar Ahmad, a JKAS officer who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the GAD, has been posted as the Additional Deputy Commissioner in Ganderbal.

Dr. Narupa Rai, a JKAS officer who was the Additional Registrar of Cooperatives in Jammu, has been transferred and posted as the Special Secretary in the office of Chief Electoral Officer, J&K.

Champa Devi, a JKAS officer serving as the Joint Registrar of Cooperatives (Audit) in Jammu, has been posted as the Additional Registrar of Cooperatives in Jammu.

Jugal Kishore Anand, a JKAS officer who was serving as the Additional Secretary to the Government in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, has been transferred to the role of Secretary at J&K Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Commission.

S. Paramjeet Singh, a JKAS officer serving as the Secretary of J&K Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Commission, has been transferred and posted as Programme Officer at ICDS Project in Doda, filling an available vacancy.
