Jammu and Kashmir Government Announces Transfers of JKAS Officers

In a recent administrative move, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued orders for the transfer of five JKAS (Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service) officers.

The decision, which comes from the General Administration Department, is aimed at optimizing the allocation of responsibilities for the betterment of the administration.

The following officers have been affected by these transfers:

1. Dr. Neha Sharma, who previously held the position of Jr. Scale JKAS and served as Tehsildar (Hqr) with AIGR in Jammu, has now been reassigned to the role of Under Secretary within the J&K Services Selection Board.

2. Mohammad Rafie, a Jr. Scale JKAS officer, formerly working as an Excise & Taxation Officer in the Eradication Wing in Jammu, has seen his services redirected to the Social Welfare Department.

3. Mohammad Iqbal Mir, another Jr. Scale JKAS officer, who held the position of Under Secretary to the Government in the School Education Department, has been transferred, and his services have been made available to the Cooperatives Department.

4. Rubia Afroz Inqalabi, yet another Jr. Scale JKAS officer, who worked as Under Secretary to the Government in the Higher Education Department, has been reassigned, and her services are now at the disposal of the Rural Development Department.

5. Jahid Azad, who served as a Jr. Scale JKAS officer in the capacity of BDO (Block Development Officer) in Chitragam, Shopian, has been transferred, and his services are placed under the Tourism Department.

These transfers are indicative of the government’s commitment to optimizing administrative capabilities and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.

The reshuffling of responsibilities among these officers is expected to contribute to better governance and service delivery in the region.
