JKAS, JKPS, and Accounts Service Appointments Approved by J&K Government

In a recent development, the General Administration Department (Services) of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued Government Order No:225-JK(GAD) of 2024, dated January 25, 2024, regarding the appointment of candidates to various services under the direct recruitment quota through the Combined Competitive Examination, 2022.

Following the recommendations of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, the Government has sanctioned the temporary appointment of candidates to the Junior Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, J&K Police (Gazetted) Service, and J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service.

The appointed candidates, as listed in Annexure-I of the order, will assume their roles in the Junior Scale with immediate effect.

They will undergo a probation period of two years, during which they will receive training and must pass the Departmental Examination as per the prescribed rules.

Candidates allotted to the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, J&K Police (G) Service, and J&K Accounts (G) Service are required to report to the Director General, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPA&RD) for the foundation course, as outlined in the Training Policy notified by the Government.

Upon completion of the foundation course, candidates allocated to the J&K Police (G) Service and J&K Accounts (G) Service will proceed to undergo prescribed training under the supervision of the Director General of Police, J&K, and Director General, Accounts and Treasuries, J&K, respectively. Meanwhile, candidates assigned to Junior JKAS will continue their training at J&K IMPA&RD.

To join their respective positions, appointees must provide original certificates including Qualification Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Relevant Category Certificate, and any other required documents within 21 days of the issuance of the appointment order.

The salary of appointees will be disbursed upon receipt of satisfactory reports regarding the genuineness of certificates and subject to the submission of an affidavit, as specified in Annexure-II of the order.

Any discrepancy in the provided certificates will result in the automatic cancellation of the appointment without further notice.
