Winter Vacation Announcement for Jammu Division Schools

JAMMU, December 18, 2023 – The Directorate of School Education, Muthi Camp Jammu, has issued an official order, bearing No. 1354 DSEJ of 2023, dated December 18, 2023, announcing winter vacations for government and recognized private schools in the Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division.

The winter vacation is scheduled to commence from December 26, 2023, and conclude on January 4, 2024. This directive aims to provide students and staff with a well-deserved break during the festive season.

In addition to the vacation period, certain guidelines have been laid out:

a) Online Guidance Availability: All teachers are required to remain available for any online guidance requested by students during the vacation period.

b)Strict Adherence to Schedule: The Head of Schools and teaching staff are mandated to strictly adhere to the specified vacation schedule. Any deviation from this schedule may result in disciplinary action under the applicable rules.

Ashok Kumar Sharma, JKAS, Director School Education Jammu, has signed the order (No: DSEJ/Gen/2023/350).

The order has been communicated to various authorities, including the Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department, the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, and District Development Commissioners of several districts, among others.

This announcement comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure the smooth functioning of educational institutions and the well-being of students and staff.
