This significant event took place on the 1st of October, 2023, and it has garnered the attention of aspirants across the region. In this comprehensive analysis, we will delve into the details of the Provisional Answer Key for this examination and the procedures for addressing objections or representations.

Understanding the Significance

The recruitment of Junior Engineers in the PWD Department is a pivotal step towards strengthening the infrastructure and development of the region. These engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of various projects. To assess the suitability of candidates for this role, the JKSSB organized a written examination.

The Provisional Answer Key

One of the key aspects of any competitive examination is the release of the Provisional Answer Key. This document holds immense importance as it provides transparency in the evaluation process. The JKSSB has diligently prepared the Provisional Answer Key for the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) examination, and it is available in multiple series – A, B, C, and D.

As a candidate or an interested party, you can access the Provisional Answer Key at Annexure “A” of this notice. It is essential to review this key thoroughly to gauge your performance and identify any discrepancies.

Addressing Concerns: Objections and Representations

The JKSSB recognizes that candidates may have genuine concerns or objections regarding certain questions in the examination. To ensure fairness and accuracy, the Board has established a well-defined procedure for addressing these concerns.

If you find any questions in the Provisional Answer Key that you believe are incorrect or have discrepancies, you have the opportunity to submit your objection(s) or representation(s). However, it is crucial to adhere to the following guidelines:

Prescribed Format

All objections and representations must be submitted in the prescribed format/proforma provided in Annexure “B” of this notice. It is imperative to use this specific format to streamline the evaluation process.

Supporting Evidence

To substantiate your claim, include documentary proof or evidence along with your objection(s). This evidence plays a vital role in validating the correctness of your representation.

Processing Fee

A nominal fee of Rs. 200/- per question is applicable for submitting objections or representations. This fee is to be paid in the form of a demand draft favoring the Accounts Officer, J&K Services Selection Board. Importantly, this fee is refundable in case your representation is found to be genuine and correct.

Fair Assessment

The JKSSB is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation process. If your objection(s) are found to be valid, the Answer Key will be revised accordingly for the benefit of all candidates. Please note that the Board will not provide individual notifications regarding the acceptance or non-acceptance of objections.

Submission Details

It is crucial to adhere to the submission guidelines for objections/representations:

  • Submissions can only be made in offline mode.
  • Submit your objections/representations at the office of J&K Services Selection Board, either at CPO Chowk, Panjtirthi, Jammu, or Zamzam Building, Rambagh, Srinagar.
