Latest Weather Update in J&K: Check the Forecast for Upcoming Snowfall

Dry weather is expected until January 24th, with a brief spell of cloudiness on the evening/night of the 20th.

January 25th-26th: Generally cloudy conditions with light snowfall at isolated higher reaches.

January 27th-28th: Generally cloudy skies with the possibility of light rain/snow over scattered places.

Meteorological Center in Srinagar Report:

Except for Gulmarg, the minimum temperatures witnessed a slight increase in the Kashmir Valley. Srinagar recorded -3.7°C on Saturday, marking a rise of 1.2°C from the previous night’s -4.9°C, still 1.6°C below the seasonal norm.

Qazigund noted a minimum of -4.0°C, a slight rise from the previous night’s -5.0°C, maintaining a 0.7°C deviation below the normal for this gateway town.

Pahalgam experienced a low of -5.5°C, up from -6.3°C, with temperatures 1.7°C above the usual range for this renowned resort in south Kashmir.

Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum of -2.0°C, a slight increase from the previous night’s -1.4°C, with temperatures exceeding the norm by 1.9°C.

Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded a low of -4.7°C, down from -5.0°C, presenting a 1.6°C deviation below the normal.

Gulmarg reported -4.6°C, compared to -3.6°C the previous night, with temperatures 3.1°C above the norm for this globally acclaimed skiing resort.

Jammu recorded a minimum of 5.9°C, down from 5.0°C, registering a 1.2°C deviation below the normal for the winter capital of J&K.

Banihal marked -1.4°C, Batote 1.9°C, and Bhaderwah -0.4°C, indicating varying temperatures across the region.

Meteorological Center in Srinagar’s Analysis:

The data suggests a nuanced shift in temperatures across key locations in Jammu and Kashmir, with a forecast hinting at potential snowfall and rain in the coming days.
